Voter awareness rally by students

Kanpur: In coordination with district election office, BND College's students took part in a rally for voter awareness, on Thursday. Over 300 students participated in the rally to create awareness.

District magistrate, Sameer Verma flagged off the rally, from BND College on Mall road. The rally passed through Narhona crossing, Cantt and Rail Bazaar, before it ended at the college.

Placards bearing various messages to covey the importance of employing the right to franchise, were carried by the students. 'Vote for our own India' and 'Save India, cast your vote', were the slogans raised by the participants.

The passersby were urged by the students to vote in the approaching elections of Lok Sabha. The people were asked to help build the nation by casting their votes, by the students.

Students also informed the people about how they can become voters and how they can have their names added to the voter list.
