VITEEE 2016: Exam Details
Exam dates for VIT Engineering Entrance Exam (VITEEE) 2016 has been announced by VIT University (VIT), Vellore.
The exam is scheduled to be held from April 6 to April 17, will be conducted to offer admission into the Bachelor of Technology (BTech) programme for the academic year 2016.
Paper Pattern:
VITEEE 2016 will be a computer-based test. The test consists of objective-type multiple choice questions and is divided into three parts:
Part 1: Physics
Part 2: Chemistry
Part 3: Mathematics/Biology
Part 4: English
Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3 contains 40 questions, whereas Part 4 consists of 5 questions.
Negative Marking will not be awarded to wrong answers. While the duration of the test is 2 hours and 30 minutes.
Eligibility Criteria:
- The candidates should have completed class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
- The average marks obtained in the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology (PCM / PCB) in +2 (or its equivalent)put together should be 50 percent for the SC/ST and northeastern states' candidates.

- Date of VITEEE: April 6 to April 17
- Declaration of results (tentative): April 29
