The Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) has started the registration for the Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination, mostly known as VITEEE for the upcoming year 2025. Candidates who are interested and eligible are supposed to fill the form before the last date, i.e.; 31st March, 2025. The registration began from November 4th, 2024 and will last on March 31st, 2025. VITEEE 2025 Eligibility Criteria

The VITEEE 2025 eligibility criteria have been published online by the authorities. Candidates are urged to review the official criteria before registering. Failure to meet these requirements will result in disqualification from VIT admissions.

Nationality

Applicants must be either a Resident Indian, Non-Resident Indian (NRI), or a Person of Indian Origin (PIO) holder.

Age Limit

Candidates must be born on or after July 1, 2003, to be eligible for VITEEE 2025. The date of birth recorded in the High School Certificate will be accepted as proof, and candidates must present the original certificate during counselling. Failing to do so will lead to disqualification.

Qualifying Examination

Applicants must have either completed or be appearing for one of the following qualifying exams in 2025:

The final exam of the Class 12 Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the State Board, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE, New Delhi), or the Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (ISCE, New Delhi).

Intermediate or Two-year Pre-University Examination from a recognized Board/University.

High School Certificate Examination by Cambridge University or an International Baccalaureate Diploma from the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva.

General Certificate Education (GCE) Advanced (A) level examination (London/Cambridge/Sri Lanka).

Regular candidates from the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) board are also eligible but must provide a Migration Cum Transfer Certificate upon joining.

Only candidates who have pursued regular, full-time, formal education are eligible.

Academic Requirements

Candidates must achieve a minimum aggregate of 60% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology in their qualifying examination (+2/Intermediate).

An aggregate of 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology is required for:

Candidates from the SC/ST community.

Candidates from Jammu & Kashmir/Ladakh and North-Eastern states, including Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura. Proof of nativity must be presented at counselling.

Candidates must submit their mark statement at the time of admission; if not, the management's decision on eligibility will be final. Indian nationals, NRIs, and PIO cardholders must appear for VITEEE-2025 to be considered for BTech admission. If VITEEE is canceled due to unforeseen circumstances like natural calamities, secondary marks, JEE Main 2025 scores, or valid SAT scores may be used as alternative criteria.

Subject Requirements

Candidates who studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in their qualifying exam are eligible for all B.Tech programs.

Candidates with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology are eligible only for bio-stream B.Tech programs, such as:

Bio-engineering, Biotechnology, Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) with Bioinformatics, and Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) with Biomedical Engineering. However, these candidates must take a Mathematics bridge course after joining.

While obtaining a VITEEE ranking is important, applicants must also fulfill the requirements.

Steps to Fill Out the VIT 2025 Application Form:

Candidates can follow the given steps to fill out the VITEEE application form 2025:

Step 1: Go to vit.ac.in

Step 2: Click on the application form link.

Step 3: First, the candidates will have to register by providing their basic details. A password will be generated for future login.

Step 4: Next, the candidates will have to log in using their email and password.

Step 5: The required personal, academic and contact details have to be provided. The exam cities also have to be selected in the order of preference.

Step 6: The VIT 2025 application fee has to be paid online i.e., through net banking/credit card/debit card.

Step 7: Finally, the candidates will have to upload their scanned photograph and signature as per the official specifications.

VITEEE 2025 Admit Card Release Date

The VITEEE 2025 Admit Card will be available online at the official website of the authority; vit.ac.in. Candidates can download their hall ticket by logging in with their application number and password. Before accessing the Admit Card, candidates must complete the slot booking process. The Admit Card will provide essential details, including the exam center, date, timings, and important guidelines. On the exam day, candidates must bring their VITEEE 2025 hall ticket along with an original valid ID proof (such as Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, Passport, PAN Card, or School ID). Without the hall ticket, candidates will not be permitted to take the exam.

Tentatively, the Admit Cartds will be available in the month of April, 2025 for the candidates at the website of VIT.

VITEEE 2025 is expected to take place from April 21 to April 27, 2025. The exam will be conducted as a computer-based test (CBT) for registered candidates. Exam slots will be assigned based on the

preferences selected by candidates during the VITEEE 2025 slot booking process. The VIT 2025 exam will feature objective multiple-choice questions covering subjects such as Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Aptitude, and English.
