UVCE, Bangalore revises fee structure

University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering (UVCE), Bangalore has announced the revised fee structure for the courses offered in its campus.

After the continued protest by the students against the fee at UVCE, Bangalore University has decided to revise the fee structure.

The annual fee structure for undergraduate engineering courses at UVCE is Rs 22,430/-. Earlier it was 20,430/- and it has been increased by Rs 2,000/-.

According to the Bangalore University notification, the SC/ST students whose family income is below 2.5 lakh per annum have to pay Rs 730/-.

Students who belong to OBC, 2A, 3B and 3A categories whose family income is below Rs 1 lakh per annum have to pay Rs 5,290/-.

"The remaining fee will be paid by the government. If not, it is the college principal's responsibility to collect the fee from the students," said Bangalore University, Vice-Chancellor, B Thimme Gowda.
