UPTET 2018: ERA Changed The Second Shift Exam Time

Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board has released the admit cards for the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET). Candidates who registered for the examination can visit the official website to download the admit cards for the examination which will take place on November 18, 2018.

Examination Regulatory Authority (ERA) has revised the schedule for the UPTET examination. The organising body has delayed the second session by 30 minutes. The exam will take place in two sessions, namely, the first shift from 10 am to 12:30 pm and the second session from 2:30 pm to 5 pm. The first session is conducted for candidates who aspire to teach from classes 1 to 5. Whereas, the second session for meant teaching from classes 6 to 8.

The ERA has made this decision to benefit the aspirants who have applied for both the sessions. The revised schedule will enable the candidates to reach the examination centre within time.

According to the sources, over 44,000 applications were rejected due to various reasons, out of which nearly 35,535 applications were cancelled due to multiple fillings. Keeping the rejected applications aside, more than 17 lakh candidates are all set to appear for the UPTET 2018 examination, which will be held in two shifts on November 18, 2018. The online registrations for the UPTET application process closed on October 14, 2018.

The morning session of UPTET would be conducted from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm and the afternoon session would be held from 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm on November 18, 2018. Candidates can access the answer keys on November 25.
