The dates for Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE) have been released by the governing authority. This entrance exam is conducted to screen students for admissions into undergraduate programs like engineering, management, architecture, pharmacy, fashion, designing and computer applications.
Exam Dates
The exam is scheduled to be conducted on April 16, 22 and 12 according to recent reports. Those candidates who are interested in applying for the same, are required to get themselves registered at the official website of Dr Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU). The admissions begin from January 15 onwards.
The exam is conducted for admissions to undergraduate courses that are mentioned. The scores obtained in UPSEE are accepted by over 841 affiliated institutions.
Producing Aadhar for UPSEE Exam
Also, from this year onwards, it has been made compulsory for the candidates to produce their Aadhaar card number during the time of registration. Along with that, candidates will also require to submit their Class 10 and 12 mark sheets, passport-sized photographs and signatures to register for the exam.
According to a report in another website, an officer from AKTU was quoted saying, "The university administration has made Aadhaar card number compulsory for all applicants. This move has been brought to ensure transparency in the process. Aspirants are requested to register themselves immediately for Aadhaar card if they haven't already".

Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow formerly Uttar Pradesh Technical University is a public university in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh set up by the government of Uttar Pradesh on 8 May 2000.
To reduce workload and to ensure proper management, the university was bifurcated into separate universities: Gautam Buddha Technical University and Mahamaya Technical University with effect from 1 May 2010. In 2013, as new government came into power this university was again formed by combining the two back together on 5 January 2013.
