Examination pattern

The exam paper consisted of eleven papers that had questions such as objective multiple type questions except drawing aptitude test (Part B of paper 4). Candidates were given the choice to choose the subject of their interest for the entrance exam.


Exam mode

  • Paper 1, Paper 2, Paper 3 and Paper 4 were OMR based tests only
  • Paper 5, Paper 6, Paper 7, Paper 8, Paper 9, Paper 10 and Paper 11 were computer based test only

Counselling dates

  • First round: June 19 to July 2
  • Second round: July 3 to July 10
  • Third round: July 11 to July 17
  • Fourth round: July 19 to July 25
  • Fifth round: July 31 to August 5
  • Provisional allotment letter and reporting at institute: July 26 to July 29
  • Vacancy Details by institute on ERP: July 30
  • Spot counselling: August 6 to August 15

Aadhaar card for UPSEE 2017

During the time of registering the candidate's roll for the exam, their aadhar card must be submitted for proof. Apart from that candidates will also require their class 10 and 12 mark sheets, passport-sized photographs and signatures to register for the exam.
