The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released an official notification inviting applicants for recruitment to the various vacant posts across ministries including Joint Secretary and Director Level Posts through the lateral recruitment process. The willing and interested candidates holding requisite qualification and experience can apply online at upsc.gov.in. The last date to apply for the aforesaid posts is 22 March 2021.
UPSC Recruitment 2021: Vacancy Details
There are a total of 30 vacancies that need to be filled as part of the UPSC recruitment drive, out of which, 3 vacancies are for Joint Secretary, and one each for various Director level posts. The posts for Director level includes the Ministry of Agriculture Marketing, Aviation Management, Agriculture Trade Specialties, Exports Marketing, Foreign Trade Analyst, Logistics Department of Commerce, Warehouse Expertise, Food and Public Distribution, Edu Tech, Edu Laws, ICT Edu, Media Management, Banking, Cyber Security in Financial Sector, Digital Economy and Fin tech, Judicial Reforms and several other departments.
UPSC Recruitment 2021: Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification: The candidate must hold a graduate degree in relevant trade. However, the candidates need to possess a postgraduate degree for some posts.

Age Limit: The age limit for candidates applying for Joint Secretary is 40 to 55 years, while for Directorial positions the age should be between 35 to 45 years of age.
The age relaxation is applicable for reserved candidates as per government norms.

UPSC Recruitment 2021: Selection Criteria And Pay Scale
The applicants will be selected on the basis of qualification and experience. The shortlisted candidates will have to appear for the interview round and submit the prescribed documents on which the selection will be made.
The Pay will be on the basis of the 7th pay scale, Pay Level-14/13. The approximate gross salary would be around Rs. 2,21,000.
