The Union Public Services Commission (UPSC) has released an official notification on a set of instructions to follow for the candidates who have registered for the exam. It urged the students to download the admit cards aka hall tickets as soon as possible in order to avoid last minute rush and confusion on the day of the exam.
Why should the candidates download UPSC Prelims Exam 2017 e-admit cards immediately?
- In case of any errors present in the admit card, candidates must make a note of it and proceed towards corrective measures by reporting it to the Commission. To do this, they have to note the changes as soon as possible and rectify it before the exam.
- The website will have traffic in the last minute and might have some problem loading. Candidates might be unable to download their admit cards at such times.
Do not bring expensive items inside the UPSC Prelims exam hall
"Electronic gadgets like cellular/mobile phones, any other devices for communication, laptop, blue tooth device, and calculator are banned inside the examination hall. Any infringement of these instructions shall entail disciplinary action against the candidates concerned including debarment from future examinations/selection," UPSC notification said.
Check OMR sheet before submitting
At the time of the exam candidates should check for any omission, mistake, discrepancy in encoding or filling in details in the OMR answer sheet, especially with regard to roll number and test booklet series code. Such mistakes will render the answer sheet liable for rejection.
