UPSC NDA, CDS 2024 Notification Released at upsc.gov.in, Check out for more details

The notification for the National Defence Academy, Naval Academy Examination (I), and Combined Defence Services (CDS) I exams has been announced by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). The tests will take place on April 21, 2024. Those interested in taking the tests should visit the UPSC website, upsc.gov.in.

The deadline for submitting online applications is January 9 at 6 p.m. There are 457 CDS I positions and 400 NDA vacancies available. The UPSC holds the Combined Defence Services Examination, as well as the National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination, twice a year. The second part of the NDA, NA II, and CDS II examinations is slated for September 1, 2024.

How to Complete the Application Form for CDS, NDA 2024:

Step 1: Access the official UPSC website at upsconline.nic.in.
Step 2: Enroll on the One Time Registration (OTR) platform.
Step 3: Fill out the CDS 1 or NDA application form for 2024 by providing the necessary information.
Step 4: Upload the required documents with file sizes ranging from 20 to 300 KB, as indicated.
Step 5: Make the payment for the specified application fee.
Step 6: Submit the finalized CDS 2024 application form.

If a candidate wishes to modify their OTR profile, they are permitted to do so only once during their lifetime after registering on the OTR platform. The opportunity to make changes to the OTR profile data will be accessible until seven days after the closure of the application window for their initial final application in any Commission examination. For candidates who apply for the first time in this examination after OTR registration, the deadline for OTR modification will be January 01, 2024.

UPSC NDA, CDS I: Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification: To qualify for the NDA exam, candidates need to successfully complete Class 12. For the CDS exam, it is essential to be a graduate from a recognized university. Joining the Navy requires a bachelor's degree in engineering, while for the Air Force Academy, candidates must have passed Physics and Chemistry in Class 12, along with holding a Bachelor's degree.

Age limit: Candidates applying for the NDA exam should be between 16.5 and 19.5 years of age. However, for the CDS exam, those applying for the Air Force and Navy must fall within the age range of 19 to 23 years, and for Officers Training Academy, candidates must be between 19 and 24 years of age.
