UPSC Main Exam application form has been released and here is how you could download it and apply for the exam

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the Detailed Application Form (DAF) for Civil Services (Main) Examination. Registered candidates can now download it online.

All those candidates who have cleared the preliminary examination are eligible to fill up the form.

Deadline

The last date for filling up the same is August 31 till 6 pm.

Exam date

The exam is scheduled to be conducted from Saturday, October 28, 2017.

Exam centres

Ahmedabad, Aizawl, Allahabad, Bangaluru, Bhopal,Chandigarh, Chennai, Cuttack, Dehradun, Delhi, Dispur (Guwahati), Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Patna, Raipur, Ranchi, Shillong, Shimla, Thiruvananthapuram and Vijayawada.

Note:

According to the official notification, The Centres and the dates of holding the Main Examination as mentioned above are liable to be changed at the discretion of the Commission. While every effort will be made to allot the candidate to the Centre of his choice, the Commission may, at their
discretion allot a different Centre or a new Centre that may be opened when
circumstances so warrant.

How to submit the filled UPSC DAF?

The qualified candidate seeking admission to the Civil Services (Main) Examination must apply online through the website and upload the scanned copies of the required document within the prescribed time limit so that DAF is submitted by the applicant on time.

  • Preliminary (objective type) for the selection of candidates for the main examination civil Services.
  • (Main) Examination (written and interview) for the selection of candidates for the various services and posts announced
