The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has opened the online Detailed Application Form (DAF) for the Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination 2024. Candidates who successfully cleared the preliminary examination can now access and complete the DAF on the official UPSC website at upsc.gov.in.

Steps to Complete UPSC IFS (Main) DAF 2024:

To complete the DAF for the UPSC IFS (Main) Exam 2024, candidates need to follow these steps:

Step 1: Visit the official UPSC website; upsc.gov.in.
Step 2: On the homepage, navigate to the 'What's New' section and click on the link titled 'DAF - 1: Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination, 2024.'
Step 3: A new page will open; enter your email ID and password to log in.
Step 4: After logging in, carefully fill out the UPSC IFS (Main) DAF 2024 with the required details.
Step 5: Review your entries and submit the form.
Step 6: Print a copy of the submitted DAF for your records and future reference.

The preliminary examination for the Indian Forest Service was conducted by UPSC on June 16, 2024, with the results announced on July 1, 2024. All candidates who qualified for the preliminary exam must complete and submit the DAF-I online to be eligible for the Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination 2024.

The UPSC has issued an important notice regarding the DAF submission: "It may be noted that as per the Rules of the Indian Forest Service Examination-2024, any delay in submission of the DAF-I or supporting documents beyond the prescribed date will not be allowed and will lead to the cancellation of the candidature for the IFoS Examination, 2024."
