UPSC Geo-Scientist Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit:
The minimum age limit prescribed for the UPSC Geo-Scientist post is 21 years. The upper age limit for the different profiles is 32 years and reserved category candidates shall get relaxation in the age limit.

Geophysicist Group A The candidate should have completed their M.Sc. in Physics or Applied Physics or M.Sc. (Geophysics) or Integrated M.Sc. (Exploration Geophysics) or M.Sc (Applied Geophysics) or M.Sc. (Marine Geophysics) or M.Sc. (Tech.) (Applied Geophysics) from a University
Geologist Group AThe candidate should be having a Master's degree in Geological Science or Geology or Applied Geology or Geo- Exploration or Mineral Exploration or Engineering Geology or Marine Geology or Earth Science and Resource Management or Oceanography and Coastal Areas Studies or Petroleum Geosciences or Geochemistry from a University.
Scientist B The candidate should have completed a Master's degree in Geology or applied Geology or Marine Geology or Hydrogeology from a recognised university.
Chemist Group A The candidate should be having an M. Sc. in Chemistry or Applied Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry from a university.

UPSC Geo-Scientist Application Form

The UPSC Geo-Scientist application form can be filled only in the online mode. The official notification released by the commission has the detailed application fee for all the categories. As per that, unreserved category has to pay INR 200 whereas reserved category are exempted from paying any fee.
