To ensure transparent in the process, the registrations for all the competitive entrance examinations held by UPSC has been made 100% online.
According to Minister of State for Personnel and Public Grievances Jitendra Singh said during Question Hour, efforts are being taken to make Staff Selection Commission (SSC) process to 100% online process from the present 95%. He also said that the government has come up with various reforms in the past 20 months with respect to online registration for competitive examinations.
He said there has not been a single grievance in connection with online registrations for UPSC, while Deputy Commissioners have been directed to take adequate measures in case of complaints from candidates to check any difficulty faced by candidates registering for SSC exams.
"Online registration procedure has been initiated to bring in transparency in the process of selection, to provide level playing field to all candidates and to simplify the procedure," Singh said.
Also, there were quieries on the efficacy of the online registrations system, saying that the their inadequate internet access in cities like Delhi and remote areas have no access.
