The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially declared the Engineering Services (Main) Examination 2026 Result. Candidates who appeared for the UPSC ESE Mains written examination on June 21, 2026 can now check their qualifying status on the official website upsc.gov.in.

The result has been published in PDF format containing the roll numbers of all candidates who have successfully qualified for the next stage - the Interview / Personality Test. The interview schedule is expected to be released soon on the official UPSC website.

Follow these simple steps to check your result on the official UPSC website:
1. Visit the official UPSC website: upsc.gov.in
2. Go to the "What's New" or "Results" section on the homepage
3. Click on the link - "Engineering Services (Main) Examination 2026 - Written Result"
4. The result PDF will open in a new tab
5. Download the PDF and search for your Roll Number using the Ctrl+F (Find) function
6. If your roll number appears in the PDF, you have qualified for the Interview / Personality Test
7. Save the PDF for future reference
The result PDF contains only the roll numbers of qualified candidates - it does not display individual marks or scores. Marks will be made available after the final result declaration.

These candidates are now eligible to appear for the UPSC ESE Interview / Personality Test
Individual marks and scores are not mentioned in the result PDF
Category-wise qualified candidate details may be included as per UPSC norms
Candidates whose roll numbers do not appear in the PDF have not qualified for the interview round. They can apply for rechecking / marks disclosure as per UPSC's standard procedure after the final result.
The complete UPSC Engineering Services Examination 2026 selection process involves three stages:
Stage 1 - ESE Preliminary Examination (Completed)
Objective type paper covering General Studies and Engineering Aptitude, and subject-specific engineering paper. Qualifying stage - marks not counted in final merit.
Stage 2 - ESE Mains Examination (Completed - June 21, 2026)
Conventional (descriptive) type written papers in the relevant engineering discipline. Marks scored here are counted in the final merit list.
Stage 3 - Interview / Personality Test (Upcoming)
Candidates who cleared the Mains written exam are called for a Personality Test conducted by a UPSC board. The interview carries significant weightage in the final merit.
