Your seat depends on two non‑negotiables: a printed e‑Admit Card and the original government photo ID used on the portal. Double‑check both now. Use this path to download and print. upsc.gov.in > Examinations > Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2026 > e‑Admit Card. You will reach the admit portal. Choose Registration ID or Roll Number, enter Date of Birth, then Captcha. Print the instruction page along with the card and carry both.

UPSC CSE Mains admit card and ID: last‑minute checks

Match the ID type printed on your e‑Admit Card with the original you will carry. Ensure name, photograph and QR code are readable. If the photograph is unclear, bring two recent passport photos with name and date. Carry one for each session along with the centre’s undertaking form.
