The UPSC Civil Services 2020 final result has been released by the Union Public Service Commission. Ria Dabi, the younger sister of previous UPSC Topper Tina Dabi, is among the top scorers. Like her sister, she not only cracked the exam in the first attempt, but she has also grabbed 15th rank in the UPSC Civil Services 2020 examination. Tina Dabi had aced the UPSC Civil Services 2015 examination and achieved the first rank, making history as the first woman from the reserved category to do so.
Ria, like her elder sister, is a graduate of Lady Sri Ram College and was a Delhi University student. She also dabbles in painting outside of academics. Tina Dabi, her sister is an IAS officer who is currently serving as the Joint Secretary Finance (Tax) in the Rajasthan cadre.
Ecstatic with her sister's performance, Tina wrote on her Instagram handle, "I am delighted to share that my younger sister Ria Dabi has got rank 15 in UPSC 2020 exam." Jagrati Awasthi, a professional engineer from Bhopal, was the female UPSC topper this year. She works at Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL). Shubham Kumar of Katihar, Bihar, was the exam's topper. He is an IIT-Bombay graduate, and this is his second attempt. He took the Civil Service Exam in 2019 and received a score of 290.
A total of 761 candidates were proposed for the appointment this year. There would be 180 individuals shortlisted for IAS, 36 for IFS, and 200 for IPS officer positions. A total of 302 positions in central services group A and 118 in group B services will be filled.
