UPSC CMS 2024; Application Process, Exam Pattern and Eligibility

The Union Public Service Commission commenced the registration process for the UPSC CMS Exam 2024 on April 10, 2024. Aspiring candidates can access the direct registration link on the official UPSC website at upsc.gov.in.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have passed both the written and practical components of the final M.B.B.S. examination. Additionally, candidates should not exceed 32 years of age as of August 1, 2024, i.e., they must have been born on or after August 2, 1992.

How to Fill UPSC CMS Application Form 2024?

  • Visit the UPSC official website - upsc.gov.in.
  • Click on the 'Apply Online' link.
  • Complete the One-Time Registration (OTR) if not done previously, providing basic personal and contact details.
  • Log in using valid credentials.
  • Fill out the UPSC CMS 2024 application form in two parts, including fee payment (Rs.200), document uploads, and exam center selection.
  • Review all details carefully and make edits if necessary.
  • Once submitted, changes cannot be made.
  • After submission, download and print the generated registration number for future reference.

UPSC CMS Exam Pattern 2024

The UPSC has provided the syllabus and exam pattern for the UPSC CMS 2024 exam. Candidates eligible for the UPSC CMS 2024 exam are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the exam pattern to understand the sections, topics, marking scheme, question types, and subjects covered in the question papers. The UPSC CMS exam 2024 consists of two stages: a Computer-Based Examination (CBE) and a personality test.

According to the UPSC CMS exam pattern 2024, the CBE will be held for 500 marks, while the personality test will carry 100 marks. The UPSC CMS 2024 written exam comprises two papers: Paper 1 (General Medicine and Paediatrics) and Paper 2 (Surgery, Gynaecology & Obstetrics, and Preventive & Social Medicine). Each paper will have a duration of 2 hours, with both papers of the written exam being conducted for 250 marks each.
