The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is set to conduct the Civil Services Prelims exam on June 16, 2024. Guidelines for Candidates

Candidates must follow specific guidelines to ensure a smooth examination process:

Review Admit Card Details:

  • After downloading the UPSC CSE 2024 admit card, carefully check all details.
  • Ensure the accuracy of your name, photograph, and QR code on the e-admit card.
  • Report any discrepancies immediately to the UPSC.

Required Documents:

  • Bring a printout of the e-admit card.
  • Carry the original photo identity card mentioned on the e-admit card.

OMR Sheet Instructions:

  • Avoid mistakes on the OMR answer sheet, especially with the roll number and test booklet series code, as errors can lead to rejection.

Entry Rules:

  • Entry into the exam venue closes 30 minutes before the exam begins. Latecomers will not be allowed entry.

Marking Scheme:

  • Be aware that there will be negative marking for wrong answers in both question papers.
  • Only use a black ballpoint pen for marking answers, as other instruments will result in non-evaluation.

Additional Requirements:

  • If the photograph on the e-admit card is unclear or lacks details, bring a photo identity card and two passport-size photographs with your name and date on them.

Exam Schedule

The UPSC prelims examination will be conducted in two shifts on the same day:

  • General Studies (GS) Paper 1: 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM
  • Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT) or GS Paper 2: 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM
