The UPSC Civil Services Mains Exam 2021 will take place in accordance with COVID-19 guidelines, which include wearing masks, maintaining social distance, using hand sanitiser, and other precautions. Candidates should remember to bring their Admit Card and Personal ID to the examination hall when taking the exam. The UPSC Civil Services Mains Exam will begin from January 7, 2022, and will end on January 16, 2022.

The Main Exam would consist of up to nine papers. The language paper will have papers in Hindi, Bengali, Assamese, Bodo, Dogri, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Konkani, Kashmiri, Maithili, Manipuri, Marathi, Nepali, Punjabi, Odia, Sanskrit, Sindhi (Devanagari/Arabic Script), Santhali (Devanagari/Olchiki Script), Urdu from which candidates will have to appear for one.
