The Union Public Service Commission, mostly known as UPSC is all set to conduct the UPSC Preliminary Examination on June 16, 2024. The candidates who have registered themselves are expected to visit the official website of the Commission for further updates. The official website of UPSC is; upsc.gov.in.

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has rescheduled the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2024. Originally set for May 26, 2024, the prelims will now be held on June 16.
This change follows the Election Commission's announcement on the 18th Lok Sabha elections. These elections will take place from April 19 to June 1, 2024.
"Due to the schedule of the impending General Election, the Commission has decided to postpone the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination - 2024 which also serves as a screening test for Indian Forest Service Examination, 2024 from 26-05-2024 to 16-06-2024," the official notification reads.
The UPSC IAS written exams will be in two shifts. General Studies (GS) will be from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM. The Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT) will be from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM.
The registration period was extended until March 6, 6 PM. The correction window was open from March 7 to March 13.
The UPSC IAS prelims admit card 2024 will be released at least 10 days before the exam. Candidates can download their hall ticket from the official website, using their registration number and roll number or date of birth.
This year, 1,056 vacancies are announced for the CSE exam and 150 for the Indian Forest Service (IFoS). The CSE consists of three phases: prelims, mains, and personality tests. The prelims will feature objective-type questions. Candidates scoring above the cut-off will qualify for the mains.
The UPSC IAS Main exams are scheduled from September 20, spanning five days.
Candidates must be at least 21 but not older than 32 years as of August 1, 2024. This means they must have been born between August 2, 1992, and August 1, 2003.
