UPSC has declared the final result of the CDS Exam (I) 2022, on its official website at upsc.gov.in. As per the result, 164 candidates (104 + 46 + 14) have been shortlisted for 154 vacancies (100 + 22 + 32) in the 3 wings of the Indian Armed Forces namely the Indian Army, Indian Navy, and Indian Air Force.
The CDS 2022 Result has come in the form of a list of Roll Numbers of shortlisted candidates. We will provide you with the list of toppers along with the direct link to download the CDS 2022 Result.
If all goes well for these shortlisted candidates, they will head for mandatory training in respective academies of armed forces: Indian Military Academy (Dehradun), Indian Naval Academy (Ezhimala, Kerala), and Air Force Academy (Hyderabad).
It's only after the successful completion of training that these candidates can be commissioned into the armed wing of their choosing.
For those wondering about the mismatch in the seat matrix, know that some candidates' names appear more than once in the list of selected candidates. Be very mindful that the given list is still provisional and subject to Medical and Document Verification.
If the shortlisted candidates fail to clear the Medical and Document Verification rounds, their candidature will be cancelled.
The CDS Exam (I) 2022 was conducted by the UPSC in April 2022 followed by SSB Interview. The result has been prepared based on the merit list after both these rounds.
Just so you know, 2612, 933 and 616 candidates had cleared the written test for admission to the 154th (DE) batch of the Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy and Indian Air Force Academy, respectively.

Candidates are requested to forward their certificates, in original, in support of Date of Birth/Educational qualification etc. claimed by them, along with attested photocopies to
Army Headquarters /Naval Headquarters /Air Headquarters, as per their first choice.

3 vacancies for NCC 'C' Certificate (Naval Wing through NCC Special Entry) holders.
