UPSC CAPF Recruitment 2024: Assistant Commandant Exam Date is OUT, Check out for more details

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the examination schedule for the Central Armed Police Forces (ACs) Examination. This exam aims to fill 506 Assistant Commandant (AC) positions across various paramilitary forces. The examination is scheduled for August 4, 2024, with Paper I taking place from 10 am to 12 pm and Paper II from 2 pm to 5 pm. The forces involved include the Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB).

The vacancy details are as follows:

• BSF: 186 vacancies
• CRPF: 120 vacancies
• CISF: 100 vacancies
• ITBP: 58 vacancies
• SSB: 42 vacancies

Selection Process

The selection process for AC posts includes a written test, physical standards/physical efficiency tests, medical standards tests, and a final interview/personality test. A merit list will be created based on candidates' marks in the written examination and interview/personality test.

Eligibility Criteria

• To be eligible for the exam, candidates must meet the following criteria:
• Be Indian citizens aged between 20 and 25 years as of August 1, 2024
• Hold a bachelor's degree from a recognized university

Application Fee

The application fee for the UPSC CAPF Assistant Commandant Exam is Rs 200. However, female candidates and those belonging to SC and ST categories are exempt from paying the fee.
