Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), has announced the results of Indian Forest Services 2013. This exam is conducted by UPSC in order to select the candidates for the prestigious Indian Forest Services. Candidates can check the results by visiting the official website of UPSC. However, the detailed mark sheet will be uploaded within 15 days by the UPSC.
Appointment to the service will be made by the Government according to the number of vacancies available, and fulfilling of other criteria. The number of vacancies intimated by the Government is 85 (43 General, 23 Other Backward Classes, 13 Scheduled Castes and 06 Scheduled Tribes).
UPSC has a "Facilitation Counter" near Examination Hall in its campus. Candidates can obtain any information / clarification on the working days between 1000 hrs. to 1700 hrs. in person or over telephone Nos.23385271/ 23381125/ 23098543. The Result will also be available on the UPSC web site, i.e. http://www.upsc.gov.in. Marks of candidates are likely to be uploaded on the website (for access to individual candidates on query basis) within the next 15 days.
This is the first time that whole selection procedure was divided into three rounds and candidate needs to clear all the three rounds in order to get selected. These rounds consist of Civil Services Preliminary exam, then the IFS Mains exam and finally the personality test by way of interview. The preliminary exam was held in May 2013, Indian Forest Service Mains exam was held in October 2013 and the Personality Test (interview) took place in December 2013.
