As per the official notification, the UPESSC recruitment examinations will be conducted on July 2, July 3, and July 4, 2026. These exams include the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UP TET) 2026, Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT), Post Graduate Teacher (PGT), and Assistant Professor recruitment examinations. The commission has advised candidates to carefully check the detailed schedule and start their preparation accordingly.
UP TET Exam Date 2026
The UP TET 2026 is a crucial eligibility examination for candidates aspiring to become teachers in government and aided schools of Uttar Pradesh. Clearing UP TET is mandatory for recruitment to teaching posts at the primary and upper primary levels. According to the released calendar, the UP TET exam will be conducted in July 2026, aligning with the broader UPESSC recruitment schedule.
The exam will be held in offline (pen-and-paper) mode, and it is expected to include Paper 1 for candidates aspiring to teach Classes 1 to 5 and Paper 2 for those targeting Classes 6 to 8. TGT, PGT & Assistant Professor Exam Schedule

- TGT (Trained Graduate Teacher) exams are meant for teaching Classes 6 to 10
- PGT (Post Graduate Teacher) exams are for Classes 11 and 12
- Assistant Professor recruitment exams are conducted for higher education institutions
