The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has officially rescheduled the UP Board Class 12 Practical Examinations 2026, bringing important relief and clarity to students and schools across the state. As per the latest update, the practical exams originally planned earlier will now be held on January 29 and January 30, 2026.

UP Board Class 12 Practical Exam 2026 Rescheduled to January 29 & 30
This decision comes in view of the UP TET 2026 examination schedule, as the board had earlier been instructed to avoid any clash between the two major examinations. UPMSP had initially planned the first phase of practical exams during the same dates, but later revised the schedule to ensure smooth conduct of both examinations without inconvenience to students and teachers.
Revised UP Board Class 12 Practical Exam Schedule 2026
According to the revised timetable released by UPMSP, the Intermediate (Class 12) practical examinations will be conducted in two phases:
Phase 1 Practical Exams:
- From January 24 to February 1, 2026
Phase 2 Practical Exams:
- From February 2 to February 9, 2026
The practical examinations scheduled for January 29 and 30 have now been formally included under the updated plan, ensuring there is no overlap with UP TET 2026. This rescheduling applies primarily to schools and districts that were earlier instructed not to conduct practicals on these dates.
Why Were UP Board Practical Exams Rescheduled?
The rescheduling was done after the state education authorities directed UPMSP to avoid conducting Class 12 practical exams on January 29 and 30, as UP TET 2026 was expected to be held around the same time. Since many teachers and examination staff are involved in both processes, conducting exams simultaneously could have caused administrative and logistical challenges.
By revising the dates, UPMSP aims to:
- Prevent exam-day clashes for students and teachers
- Ensure smooth evaluation and invigilation
- Maintain fairness and efficiency in examination processes
Important Instructions for Students & Schools
- Students must contact their respective schools to confirm their exact practical exam dates and subjects.
- Schools will issue subject-wise and batch-wise practical schedules internally.
- Students are advised to carry their school ID cards, practical files, and necessary stationery on the exam day.
- Attendance in practical exams is mandatory, as marks are included in the final board result.
What's Next for UP Board Students?
With the practical exam schedule clarified, Class 12 students should now focus on:
- Completing practical records and projects
- Revising viva topics and experiments
- Preparing for the UP Board Theory Exams 2026, which will follow as per the main board timetable
UPMSP is expected to release further instructions, if required, through its official website and school notifications.
