The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UP Board) initiated the process of evaluating close to three crore answer sheets for the High School (class 10) and Intermediate (class 12) examinations on Wednesday. An official confirmed that the results are expected to be announced by the end of April. Across Uttar Pradesh, 261 evaluation centres have been established to facilitate this massive undertaking. Bhagwati Singh, the UP Board Secretary, stated that the evaluation process, which started recently, is scheduled to complete by April 2, with plans to announce the results in the last week of April.

This year, a significant number of examiners have been appointed for the task. For the High School examination, 84,122 examiners and 8,437 deputy head examiners are set to review 1.63 crore answer sheets. In comparison, for the Intermediate examination, 50,601 examiners and 5,471 deputy head examiners will assess 1.33 crore answer sheets. The meticulous process of checking the papers is conducted under strict surveillance at district, divisional, and regional levels. Additionally, a live feed from all evaluation centres is being relayed directly to the control room at the UP Board headquarters and its camp office located in Lucknow, ensuring transparency and integrity in the process.
The examinations, which took place across 8,140 centres in the state from February 24 to March 12, saw a participation of 25.56 lakh students for the High School exam and 25.77 lakh students for the Intermediate exam. The vast number of participants underscores the scale of the examination process and the subsequent evaluation effort required. The UP Board's commitment to completing the evaluation process by early April and announcing the results by the month's end highlights their dedication to ensuring students can proceed with their next educational steps or career choices without undue delay.
