This year's high school pass percentage dropped to 88.18 percent, with 85.25 percent of boys and 91.69 percent of girls passing, down from 99.53 percent previous year, with 99.52 percent of boys and 99.55 percent of girls passing.

Those who do not meet the minimal passing score of 33 percent will be required to take the UP Boards compartment exams. The board exam was held in an offline pen and paper format this year.
