Unlock 5.0 Delhi Schools Reopening News: All schools in the national capital will remain closed till October 31 owing to the coronavirus pandemic, according to Delhi's Dy. Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, who stated that his government will not be risking the health of students amid pandemic.
Tweeting about the decision Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said, "All schools in Delhi will remain shut till October 31 due to Corona. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has said that as a guardian, he understands the seriousness of the situation. At this time it will not be appropriate to take any risk regarding the health of children."

Earlier, the Delhi government had ordered schools to remain shut till October 5 across the national capital, while permitting classes to be conducted through online mode, which has become the new normal post the outbreak of COVID pandemic.
Unlock 5.0 Guidelines For Schools And Colleges, Attendance In Schools Not Mandatory
The announcement by Delhi government comes close on the heels of the Union Home Ministry (MHA) releasing Unlock 5.0 guidelines for reopening of schools and colleges in a phased manner.
However, the decision to reopen schools and educational institutions in a graded manner after October 15 in consultation with the management of concerned school/institution is entirely left with the States and Union Territories as per the Centre's new Unlock 5.0 guidelines.
The national capital currently has 2.88 lakh COVID cases with a death toll 5,472 caused due to the pandemic.
