University of Pune, Pune, students demanded the university official to postpone the M.Com first and third semester examination, which is clashing with CS examination.
M.Com students said, we are preparing to Company Secretary (CS) examination and it is overlapping with M.Com examinations.
First and Third semester M.Com examinations were supposed to commence from on 9th November 2013.
University had changed the examination schedule from 18 to 21 November. Where as CS examination also on 20 to 21 November.
The affected students demanded the University of Pune to postpone the M.Com examinations so that students can appear for CS examination.
"I am a student of M.Com and at the same time I am preparing for company secretary examination. However since both the exams are now clashing, it is confusing for me," said Shweta Darekar, a student from a city college.
Thousands of students are appearing for CS examination. The university should have to postpone the M.Com examinations.
Sanjay Pawar, former president of Chartered Accountants Association said, "There are close to 3.000 students who are appearing for the CS exams. However, since the M.Com exam is clashing with it, we have asked the university to postpone the postgraduate exams as it cannot be possible to change the schedule of the CS exams as it is conducted at the national-level."
Dr Sudhakar Jadhavar, dean of commerce faculty, said they will speak to the vice chancellor and the examination department of the varsity and try to postpone the M.Com examinations.
