The University College Dublin (UCD) has announced the launch of scholarships for Indian students, for the year 2014. It will be offered for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
According to the source, UCD is Ireland's largest and most international university, having over 26,000 students including 5,500 international students from 127 countries. A public, government-funded institution, UCD also receives the highest levels of research funding in the country and is ranked within the top 1% of world universities.

UCD Global Excellence Undergraduate Scholarship is pleased to offer 1 undergraduate scholarship covering 50% of the tuition Fee.
Eligibility
- Applicants should be Indian citizens and currently residing in India;
- Applicants must be self-funding and classified as non-EU for tuition fee purposes;
- At the deadline applicants must hold a firm offer or acceptance to and eligible full time UCD Undergraduate programmes;
- Scholarships are not available in Medicine and Medical Science, Veterinary Medicine, or Radiography. Please contact kate.ohanlon@ucd.ie for the advice of whether your programme of study is eligible or not;
- Successful candidates will be selected on merit;
- This scholarship is not eligible to be combined with any other tuition scholarship.
Award
- The Scholarship Programme aims to attract excellent candidates by encouraging early application;
- Scholarship awards as above are applicable to tuition fees only;
- Scholarship awards are renewable annually subject to the student maintaining an annual grade point average of no less than 3.2;
- Successful candidates will be selected on merit;
- Decisions will be made by the Scholarship Committee on or before 1 June 2013. All decisions are final.

To be considered for the UCD Global Excellence Graduate Scholarship India applicants must complete a supplemental application form, in addition to applying for their chosen programme;

Opening date: Graduate taught courses for the September intake open for application on the 1st October preceding entry.
