New Delhi, December 19, 2014: University College Dublin (UCD) is delighted to announce the launch of the 2015 UCD scholarships for Indian undergraduate and postgraduate students. Of particular note in the scholarship fund are the 4 full scholarships in recognition of V. V. Giri, the fourth President of India, who studied law in UCD from 1913 to 1916.
University College Dublin (UCD) is Ireland's Global University. Established in 1854 UCD is Ireland's largest and most international university. There are over 27,000 students including 6,000 international students from 127 countries studying in UCD. A public, government-funded institution UCD receives the highest levels of research funding in the country and is ranked within the top 1% of world universities.

UCD can objectively be considered the Irish University with greatest profile in India and today UCD is the most popular university for Indian students studying in Ireland. There are currently 308 Indian students studying in UCD.
UCD's commitment to attracting top Indian students is evident in its scholarship offering which is the largest offered by an Irish university along with their regular visits to India, importantly with key academics and engagement with Indian university partners such as the University of Delhi, IIT Kanpur, IIM Bangalore and University of Baroda amongst others.
The following scholarships will be available to Indian students applying to UCD. This outlines the minimum scholarship fund available, it is estimated the fund will rise as the year progresses.

Details of the Government of Ireland scholarships will be confirmed in February 2015.
