Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this apprenticeship, candidates must meet certain criteria:
- Age: Applicants should be between 20 and 28 years old as of August 1, 2024. This means those born between August 2, 1996, and August 1, 2004, are eligible. Age relaxations are available: 5 years for SC/ST candidates, 3 years for OBC (Non-creamy layer) candidates, and 10 years for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD).
- Education: Candidates must have graduated from a recognized university or institute by September 17, 2024.
Application Fee
The application fee varies by category and is non-refundable. The breakdown is as follows:
- General/OBC: ₹800 + GST
- All Female Candidates: ₹600 + GST
- SC/ST: ₹600 + GST
- PwBD: ₹400 + GST

- Click on the application link and register.
- Complete the application form, upload necessary documents, and pay the application fee.
- Submit your application and print a copy for future reference.
Selection Process
The selection process includes several stages:
- Online Test: Candidates will be evaluated through an online test covering General/Financial Awareness, General English, Quantitative & Reasoning Aptitude, and Computer Knowledge. The test consists of 100 questions, each worth one mark, to be completed in 60 minutes.
- Language Proficiency: Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in the local language of the state they are applying to. This may be assessed during document verification or through a language test.
- Medical Examination: Selected candidates must pass a medical exam conducted by a registered general physician to ensure they are fit for the apprenticeship.
Important Notes
- The online test is tentatively scheduled for September 2024. The exact date will be announced later.
- Apprenticeship registration is mandatory on the NAPS Portal and optional on the NATS Portal for recent graduates.
- The apprenticeship provides valuable on-the-job training in the banking sector, although it does not guarantee employment with Union Bank of India after completion. However, it offers significant experience that can enhance future career prospects in banking and finance.
