The University Grants Commission (UGC) has issued the list of undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) courses through the SWAYAM online platform. The Commission has released a total of 83 Undergraduate (UG) and 40 Postgraduate (PG) courses which are ready to be offered on the SWAYAM in the July-October semester 2021. UGC Releases UG And PG Courses On SWAYAM

The official notice reads, "ln the current scenario of the second wave of the COVID-19, Universities & Colleges are requested to make optimum use of the SWAYAM online platform for the benefit of the students/learners. The list of 83 UG & 40 PG MOOCs courses, which are ready to be offered on the SWAYAM platform in July-October Semester 2021 is enclosed herewith and may also be seen at:- https://swavam.qov.in/CEC."

It added, "The Universities which have accepted SWAYAM Courses for Credit Transfer, and those in the process of accepting the SWAYAM Courses for Credit Transfer are requested to fill the UGC online form at:- https://forms.ole/io3tuBSmCCxEMzQP9."

It also reads, "Looking at the current COVID-19 pandemic scenario, the Universities and colleges are requested to popularise these SWAYAM courses amongst Students and Faculty through websites and various social media handles."

Students are encouraged to enrol for these courses to ensure uninterrupted teaching-learning for students.

The SWAYAM portal was rolled out by MHRD with an aim to offer the best teaching-learning resources. Students can access the free online courses at any time at their convenience.
