UGC offers PG scholarship for SC / ST candidates 2013-14

University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi, invites applications for the award of 1000 PG Scholarships under the scheme of PG Scholarship for Professional Courses for SC & ST candidates for the year 2013-2014, to undertake postgraduate level studies in professional subjects like Engineering & Technology, Management, Pharmacy etc. on regular basis only.

Only those candidates who have been admitted in postgraduate professional subjects at recognised universities / colleges during the academic session 2013-14, are eligible to apply under the scheme.

Selection will be made on the basis of merit by the Expert Committee. The guidelines of the scheme, detailed terms and conditions of the Scholarship, eligibility etc. may be seen by visiting the UGC website.

Applications in the prescribed format may be submitted only through online mode, latest by 16th January, 2014 by visiting the UGC website .

The decision of the Commission, with regard to selection of candidates for the award of scholarships shall be final.

Please Note:

• Applications submitted only through online mode shall be entertained and no application submitted in hard copy shall be entertained or considered for award of Scholarship in any circumstances whatsoever.
• Record of the non-selected candidates shall not be preserved beyond three months from the date of declaration of results.
