UGC NET June 2024 Registration Deadline Extended, Check Out the Details Here

The National Testing Agency, mostly known as NTA has extended the last date for registration of NTA UGC NET June 2024. Earlier, the deadline for the registration was May 10, 2024. Now, interested and eligible candidates can apply till May 15, 2024, at the official website of the authority; ugcnet.nta.ac.in.

The UGC - NET June 2024 online registration window is scheduled to close on May 15, 2024, as per a notification from the NTA. Until May 16, 2024, at 11:59 p.m., registered candidates can submit their fees by credit card, debit card, net banking, or UPI.

UGC chairman M. Jagadesh Kumar tweeted on microblogging site X, formerly known as Twitter, saying, "Deadline for Online Submission of Application Form for UGC - NET June 2024 has been extended to 15th May. Best wishes to all the applicants."

UGC NET June 2024: Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates who are general, unreserved, or general-EWS and who have earned at least 55% in their master's degree or an equivalent exam from colleges or universities recognized by the UGC in the fields of computer science and applications, electronic science, humanities, and social science, or computer science are eligible to take the exam. Candidates who have obtained at least 50% in a master's degree or an equivalent examination and who belong to the non-creamy layer, scheduled caste (SC), scheduled tribe (ST), persons with disabilities (PwD), or third gender category are eligible for the Other Backward Classes (OBC).

UGC NET June 2024: Examination Fee:

The UGC NET 2024 June notification states that the application cost is ₹1,150 for general candidates, ₹600 for General-EWS/OBC(NCL) candidates, and ₹325 for those who belong to SC, ST, PwD, or third gender. The examination fee for all categories must be paid by May 12, 2024, at 11:50 p.m., the deadline for fee payments.
Four options for paying the fee are made available to the candidates: Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card, or UPI.

UGC NET June 2024: Exam Date:

On June 16, 2024, the UGC NET June 2024 examination is scheduled to be conducted. The exam will last for three hours and 180 minutes. The exam will be administered using the OMR (Pen and Paper) format. There will be two papers on the exam. Multiple-choice, objective-type questions will be included in both papers. There won't be an interval between papers.

Step 3: Click on "new candidate register here".
Step 4: The candidate needs to register for the Online Application Form.
Step 5: Create a password and choose Security Question.
Step 6: Note down the system-generated Application Number.
Step 7: Now, log in with the Application Number.
Step 8: Fill out the application form.
Step 9: Provide the essential details.
Step 10: Upload the documents.
Step 11: Click on submit.
Step 12: Pay the application fees.
Step 13: Download the confirmation page.
Step 14: Take a printout for future reference.
