UGC NET June 2015 to be held on June 28

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct the University Grants Commission-National Eligibility Test June 2015 (UGC-NET June 2015) on June 28, 2015.

CBSE will conduct UGC-NET June 2015 on behalf of UGC for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for Assistant Professor only or for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor both in Indian colleges and universities.

CBSE will conduct NET in 84 subjects at 89 selected NET examination cities across the country.

How to apply:

  • Interested candidates can apply online.
  • The filled bank challanfor free can be generated till May 15.
  • The last date for submission of fee through online generated bank challan, at any branch of Syndicated/Canara/ICICI Bank is May 16, 2015.
  • Only online application will be accepted.

What is UGC-NET?

The candidates who qualify for the award of JRF are eligible to pursue research in the subject of their postgraduate (PG) studies or in a related subject and are also eligible for Assistant Professor.

The universities, institutes, the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and other national organizations may select the JRF awardees for whole-time research work in accordance with the procedure prescribed by them.

The award of JRF and eligibility for Assistant Professor both or eligibility for Assistant Professor only will depend on the performance of the candidates in all the three papers of NET.

However, the candidates qualifying exclusively for Assistant Professor will not be considered for award of JRF.
