UGC NET Answer Key 2026 Out at ugcnet.nta.nic.in: Check Provisional Key, Response Sheet and Challenge Details
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the UGC NET June 2026 provisional answer key for 84 subjects. Candidates who appeared for the examination can now check the provisional answers along with their recorded responses through the official UGC NET website at ugcnet.nta.nic.in.
The answer key allows candidates to compare their responses with the answers provided by NTA and calculate their probable scores. Candidates who find any answer incorrect can also raise objections during the notified challenge period.
UGC NET Answer Key 2026: Key Details
The UGC NET June 2026 examination was conducted from June 22 to June 30, 2026, across 87 subjects. The examination is conducted to determine eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Assistant Professor positions and admission to PhD programmes.
For the current release, NTA has uploaded the provisional answer keys and recorded responses for 84 subjects.
The remaining three subjects - English, Commerce and Sociology - have not been included in this release. NTA stated that a committee was examining complaints related to various errors reported in the question papers of these subjects. A separate notice regarding these three papers is expected based on the committee's recommendations.
UGC NET Answer Key Challenge Window 2026
Candidates who are not satisfied with any answer mentioned in the provisional answer key can challenge the concerned question through the online objection facility.
The challenge window is open from August 16 to August 18, 2026, up to 11:59 PM. Candidates must submit their objections within the prescribed deadline, as challenges received after the closing time will not be considered.
A processing fee of ₹200 per question challenged is applicable. The payment can be made through Debit Card, Credit Card or Net Banking until the challenge window closes.
Candidates should carefully check the provisional answer key and provide appropriate supporting evidence while submitting an objection.

1. Visit the official UGC NET website at ugcnet.nta.nic.in.
2. Look for the link related to the UGC NET June 2026 Provisional Answer Key.
3. Click on the answer key or recorded response link.
4. Enter the required login credentials.
5. Submit the details to access the candidate dashboard.
6. Download the provisional answer key and recorded responses.
7. Compare the answers with the responses marked during the examination.
8. Calculate the probable score using the applicable marking scheme.
Candidates should download and save a copy of the answer key and response sheet for future reference.
