UGC NET 2024 Exam Overview:

The UGC NET June 2024 session was held in a computer-based testing (CBT) format at various examination centers across India from August 21 to September 4. The test comprised multiple-choice questions, with each correct answer earning two marks. Importantly, there were no negative marks for incorrect answers or unanswered questions, allowing candidates to attempt the paper freely without fearing penalties.

UGC NET is a prestigious national-level exam conducted twice a year, in June and December, to select qualified candidates for the roles of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Assistant Professorship, and admissions to PhD programs. This year's June session, originally slated for June 18, faced a postponement due to a confirmed paper leak, and the exam on June 19 was subsequently cancelled. The rescheduled exam attracted widespread participation from candidates across the country.

For certain exam centers, the tests were postponed and rescheduled due to logistical reasons. Affected candidates were notified individually about the revised exam dates.

Challenge Process and Final Answer Key:

Candidates who wish to challenge any responses in the provisional answer key can do so within the specified window. After reviewing all challenges, the NTA will release a final answer key. This transparent and thorough process ensures fairness in evaluating candidate performance and maintaining the credibility of this highly competitive eligibility exam.

The final results will be declared after the release of the final answer key, once all challenges have been addressed. Candidates are advised to regularly check the official website for updates on result announcements and other important notifications.
NTA continues its commitment to conducting national-level exams like UGC NET with the highest levels of efficiency, accuracy, and transparency, ensuring that the process is fair and equitable for all participants.
