Uber stated that it is hiring around 250 engineers for its Bengaluru and Hyderabad offices, as the firm continues to expand and strengthen its engineering and product activities in the nation.
According to an Uber statement, the current round of recruitment will strengthen the company's rider and driver growth, delivery, digital payments, eats, risk and compliance, consumer obsession, marketplace, infrastructure, data, adtech, safety, and finance technology departments.
These positions are currently split across the tech centres in Hyderabad and Bengaluru.
Uber's expansion plans are in accordance with the company's vision of making mobility and delivery more accessible, as well as becoming the backbone of transportation in over 10,000 locations around the world.
"Our teams in Hyderabad and Bengaluru work on significant worldwide mandates, and pioneer several industry-first innovations," said Manikandan Thangarathnam, Senior Director of Engineering.
"In order to serve more people throughout the world, we're growing our teams and searching for bright engineering brains to help us address mobility and delivery difficulties across all of our worldwide markets," he added.
Uber has begun reaching out to potential candidates for building new teams including Uber infrastructure, Marketplace, Eats, Uber for Business (U4B), Risk and Payments, Marketing and Advertising platforms, and other areas.
