Two TNAU students secure first rank in ICAR doctoral exam

Coimbatore, June 24, 2015: Two students of Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) secured first rank in the All-India competition Examination for admission to Doctoral Degree Programme recently conducted by Indian Council for Agricultural Research (ICAR).

Twentysix students of the University were selected under various categories and under different subjects for 25 per cent of seats in the programme of ICAR and State Agricultural Universities for 2015-16 conducted on April 12, a university release said today.

M Mallik, Department of Plant Breeding and Genetics and Rahul Nashipudi, Department of Floriculture and Landscape Gardening, secured first rank, it said.

All the selected TNAU students are eligible for admission to Ph.D program in any one of the 66 Agricultural universities of India, the release said.
