TS EAMCET 2016: Exam Rescheduled for May 15

Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad has revised the exam dates of TS EAMCET 2016. According to new dates, the exam will be conducted on May 15, 2016.

The entrance exam, which was scheduled on May 2, 2016 got postponed as the private colleges denied to use their premises following government's announcement to keep vigilance on the functioning of these colleges.

The Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University conducts the TS EAMCET (Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test ) on behalf of Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE).

The examination is conducted to offer admissions to various undergraduate professional courses for the academic year 2016-2017 in the university and private unaided and affiliated professional colleges in Telangana.

Speaking to reporters, the Deputy Chief Minister K. Srihari said that a total of 1, 44,501 students have applied for the engineering stream and 1, 01,987 for agriculture and medical stream.

Exam Details and Timings:

• Engineering stream: The exam will be conducted between 10 am to 1 pm
• Agriculture and Medical stream: The examination will be held from 2.30 pm to 5:30 pm
