Tripura NEET UG 2024: Round 1 Counseling Deadline Extended to August 27

The Directorate of Medical Education (DME) Tripura has extended the deadline for the choice-filling process in the Tripura NEET UG 2024 counseling. Candidates who have registered for the counseling can now submit their choices by August 27, 2024, through the official website; dmeonline.tripura.gov.in.

Originally, the choice-filling process was set to begin on August 23, 2024, but it was postponed by one day. As per the latest update, candidates can now fill in their preferences from noon on August 24 until 12 PM on August 27.

Tripura NEET UG Counselling 2024: Seat Allotment Process:

The seat allotment process in the Tripura NEET UG 2024 counseling will be conducted by DME based on several factors. These include candidates' NEET scores, their preferred choices, and the availability of seats in medical and dental colleges across Tripura. The seat allocation will be done under the merit list and the reservation criteria set by the authorities.

After the seat allotment, candidates have the option to accept the seat or opt for further rounds of counseling. Those who choose to accept their allocated seats must download their provisional allotment letter from the official website.

Reporting to the Allotted College:

Candidates who accept their seat allocation must report to the designated college within the stipulated timeframe. They are required to bring the necessary documents for verification, pay the admission fees, and complete all the required formalities for securing admission.

The document verification process at the college will confirm the candidate's eligibility. This includes verification of identity, NEET score, category, and academic qualifications.

Request for Seat Upgrade:

If a candidate is not satisfied with their allotted seat, they have the opportunity to request an upgrade in subsequent rounds of counseling. Should an upgrade be granted, the candidate will need to report to the new college and complete the admission procedures again.

Document Review Window:

DME also provided a 24-hour document review window on August 23, 2024, during which candidates could review and update their previously submitted documents. This window was available until 3 PM, allowing candidates to make any necessary corrections or additions to their documentation.
