TNPSC Recruitment For 139 Officers - Posts (Group-I Services)

The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has invited online applications from eligible Indian nationals for recruiting 139 Officers (Group-I Services) to be appointed across the State by 31 January 2019.

The recruitment is for various positions comprising of Deputy Collector (DC), Deputy Superintendent of Police, Assistant Commissioner (CT), Deputy Registrar of Co-operative Societies, District Registrar, Assistant Director of Rural Development District, Employment Officer and District Officer under various services of the State.

Age Criteria

Desirous candidates seeking application to various posts must have attained 21 years as on 01 July 2019 and exceeded 32 years (General) with an upper age limit of 37 years for SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BCs, BCMs and DWs categories.

Fees And Educational Credentials

Candidates are required to pay a prescribed Fee of Rs. 150/- towards One-Time Registration (OTR) and Rs. 100 and Rs. 200 towards Preliminary and Mains Examination respectively. However, SC/ST/ST(A)/PWD/DW are exempted from paying the exam fees.

Payments can be made through both online (net-banking/credit/debit payment gateways) and offline (at any SBI/ Indian Bank/Post Office) modes within two days from the date of submission of application.

Candidates seeking application to various posts must possess a degree from any university incorporated by an act of central or state legislature in india, or from any educational institution established by an act of parliament. However, to certain posts, preference will be given to the candidates having the following qualifications.

Deputy Registrar of Co-operative SocietiesMA/BA Degree (Co-operation) OR MCom Degree (Co-operation as subject)
District Employment OfficerA Graduate in Sociology/ Economics/Education Statistics or Psychology OR Post Graduate Diploma in Social Science together with experience in Personnel/ Industrial/Management / Labour Welfare.
Assistant Director of Rural Development DepartmentPost Graduate Degree in Rural Service OR a Post Graduate Diploma or Degree in Sociology.

Selection And Pay Scale

The selection of candidates will be done through a written examination conducted in three stages - Preliminary, Mains and Oral Interview. Candidates must have proficiency in the Tamil language in all its forms (read, write, understand) failing in which candidates will be disqualified.

The selected candidates will be paid under Pay Level 22 in the scale of Rs. 56,100/- to Rs. 1,77,500/- per month
