TNPCB Recruitment For Assistant Engineer: Last Date Extended

The Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board (TNPCB) has released the recruitment notification for the post of Assistant Engineer, Environmental Scientist, Assistant (Junior Assistant) and Typist. Candidates who fulfil all the eligibility requirements set by the Board can apply online through the official website until May 8, 2019. The selection of the candidates will be based on the online written examination followed by an interview. The selected candidates can earn up to Rs 1,19,500 per month.

Assistant Engineer: 73 vacancies
Environmental Scientist: 60 vacancies
Assistant (Junior Assistant): 36 vacancies
Typist: 55 vacancies

Assistant Engineer: Rs 37,700 to Rs 1,19,500/- (Level 20)
Environmental Scientist: Rs 37,700 to Rs 1,19,500/- (Level 20)
Assistant (Junior Assistant): Rs 19,500 to Rs 62,000/- (Level 8)
Typist: Rs 19,500 to Rs 62,000/- (Level 8)

Educational Qualification

• Assistant Engineer: The basic qualification is a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Chemical Engineering
• Environmental Scientist: Master's Degree in Science in Chemistry/ Biology/ Zoology/ Environmental Chemistry/ Environmental Science/ Environmental Toxicology/ Microbiology/ Marine Biology/ Bio-Chemistry/ Analytical Chemistry/ Applied Chemistry/ Botany.
• Assistant (Junior Assistant): A pass in a bachelor's degree and diploma/certificate in Computer Course for a period of minimum six months.
• Typist: A pass in a bachelor's degree and a pass in the Government Technical Examination in Typewriting Higher Grade in English and Tamil.

Age Limit

The minimum age is 18 years and the maximum age is 30 years. The age relaxation of five years is provided to candidates belonging to SC, ST, BC, etc.

Application Fee

Candidates have to pay Rs 500 as application fee through the online payment gateway. One should also pay the service charges as applicable to the bank. Candidates belonging to SC, ST and PWD have to pay Rs 250 as application fee.
