The Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) 2025 counselling process has reached a key milestone today, July 17, with the release of the Round 1 tentative seat allotment results.

Candidates who participated in the initial phase of counselling and completed their choice filling by July 16 can now log in at tneaonline.org to view their provisional seat allotment.
Round 1 seat allotment applies to candidates whose rank falls between 1 and 39,145 on the official merit list released earlier. Those who participated in the choice filling between July 14 and 16 are included in today's results.

3. Navigate to the seat allotment result section
4. Download the tentative allotment order and review your allotted college and branch
5. Decide your next course of action by 5 PM on July 18

The TNEA counselling will continue through multiple rounds. Round 2 results will be declared on July 29, followed by upward movement and further phases in August.
After viewing your tentative allotment, you must choose one of the following options before the deadline:
Accept and Join - Confirm your allotted seat and proceed to admission.
Accept and Upward - Accept the seat but wait for a better option in the next round.
Decline and Upward - Reject current seat, but remain eligible for a higher preference.
Decline and Move to Next Round - Skip this round and participate in the next one.
Decline and Quit - Exit the counselling process entirely.
No Allotment Yet? - You'll be automatically considered for upcoming rounds.
Note: If you do not respond by the deadline (5 PM, July 18), your seat will be forfeited, and you will be removed from future counselling rounds.

Those opting for Accept and Upward must report to their nearest TNEA Facilitation Centre (TFC) with documents and payment receipt for certificate verification and seat locking.
