Tamil Nadu Health Department will be organizing the National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET) counselling session for the management and the NRI quota on August 31 and September 1, 2017.
The department released a notification, which said, "earmarked MBBS seats for OC, BC and BCM, MBC/DNC, SC categories in government medical colleges, ESIC and Self Financing Medical colleges for 2017-18 session are exhausted as on August 29."

The medical and dental seats for the general category are full, according to the department and the seats for dental courses are only available for candidates who belong to BC, BCM, MBC/DNC and SC categories in the self-financing dental colleges.
The candidates who are not present during the counselling session will be wait listed automatically, for the seats in the government medical and dental colleges, ESIC and self-financing colleges. These candidates are eligible for the next phase of the counselling process.
In order to attend the counselling the candidates who have qualified for the examination will have to download the call letter from the official website. The candidates must bring all the original certificates and documents during the counselling session.
