Punjab Provincial Science Fair started at Government Boys Central Model High School, Rattigon Road, on Tuesday.It is a three day fair.
150 research models were presented by about 300 students from across the state of Punjab at the fair.
The science fair was inaugurated by Abdul Jabbar Shaheen, Secretary of School Education Department of Punjab.
Advancement in science and technology was the only way forward to progress, he said and cherished the research oriented projects by the students showcased at the fair.
Also present at the event were Rana Hassan Akhtar, Additional Secretary (P&B) of School Education Department , Qaiser Rashid,Deputy Secretary (P&B).
Two students from Government Abbasia Higher Secondary School, Bahawalpur, demonstrated a ginger related research project. As per this project, everyday usages of ginger powder or the inflammable oil of ginger is useful as an aid against osteomalacia.The students have carried out this project under the school teacher Waseem Anwar who is a cancer patient.
