Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) and the Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE) are inviting students to apply for a one-year Urdu language course. The course is available for those with a Hindi or English background. Admissions are open year-round, and interested candidates can apply through the official website, jmi.ac.in.

How to Apply for the Program?:
Admission forms and the detailed prospectus can be obtained from the office of the Hony. Director, Urdu Correspondence Course, Centre for Distance & Online Education, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi-110025. Applicants need to send a self-addressed 24x12 cm envelope stamped with Rs 10 postage.
Course Fee:
In India, the enrollment fee is Rs 500.
Foreign nationals in SAARC countries pay US $20.
Fees for other countries are $50.
There is no tuition fee.
Rescheduled Entrance Exams:
The institute has rescheduled entrance exam dates for several courses due to the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in 2024. Exams for MA (Economics), MA (Applied Psychology), Diploma in Engineering (regular/self-financed), MBA, and MBA-related courses are ongoing. The next exam is scheduled for June 9.
Entrance Exam Details:
The entrance exams are conducted in multiple shifts: 9:30 am to 11:00 am, 11:30 am to 1:00 pm, 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm, and 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. Candidates scoring less than 30% in the descriptive part will not be shortlisted for interviews. There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer in objective-type questions.
Specific Admission Criteria:
For BTech admission, candidates must meet the merit-based criteria in JEE Main 2024. BArch admission is based on final ranks in NATA 2024 by the Council of Architecture.BDS program admission will be based on merit in NEET 2024.
