The commission has also extended the deadline for completing the OTR update to February 25, 2026. Earlier, the last date was February 9, 2026. The OTR update window began on January 19, 2026, giving candidates additional time to update and verify their details.

TGPSC Makes OTR Update Mandatory for Upcoming Recruitments

The Telangana State Public Service Commission (TGPSC) conducts recruitment examinations for various Group I, II, III, and IV posts, as well as other departmental vacancies under the Government of Telangana. To streamline the recruitment process and maintain accurate candidate data, TGPSC follows the One Time Registration (OTR) system, under which applicants are required to register their personal, educational, and communication details only once.

In a recent official announcement, TGPSC clarified that updating the OTR profile has now been made compulsory for all candidates who wish to apply for upcoming recruitments. The commission emphasized that applications will not be accepted from candidates who fail to complete the OTR update, regardless of their eligibility for individual posts.

Initially, the OTR update window was scheduled to close on February 9, 2026. However, considering requests from candidates and to ensure maximum participation, TGPSC has extended the deadline to February 25, 2026. The update facility has been available since January 19, 2026, allowing candidates sufficient time to review and correct their information.

Through the OTR update process, candidates can:

  • Update personal details such as name, date of birth, and contact information
  • Verify educational qualifications
  • Upload or update photographs and signatures
  • Correct discrepancies in caste, category, or reservation details

Candidates are advised to carefully verify all entered information, as discrepancies in OTR data may lead to rejection of applications at later stages of recruitment, including document verification.

To complete the OTR update, candidates need to log in to the official TGPSC portal using their registration ID and password. After making the necessary changes, candidates should submit and save the updated profile and keep a copy of the acknowledgement for future reference.

TGPSC has also cautioned candidates against waiting until the last date, as heavy traffic on the website may cause technical issues. Completing the update well in advance will ensure smooth participation in forthcoming notifications.

Candidates are advised to regularly check the official TGPSC website for:

  • Upcoming recruitment notifications
  • Detailed OTR guidelines
  • Application schedules and exam dates

The decision to make the OTR update mandatory aims to enhance transparency, efficiency, and accuracy in the recruitment process. With the extended deadline till February 25, 2026, aspirants are encouraged to complete the process promptly to avoid missing out on future government job opportunities in Telangana.
